A new standard indoors.
The 2026 indoor season brought a 19.95 men’s 200m by Garrett Kaalund, 7.32 in the men’s 60m hurdles by Ja’Kobe Tharp, and a 1:44.70 men’s 800m by Colin Sahlman. Among the women, Riley Chamberlain ran 4:20.61 in the mile, Doris Lemngole ran 8:31.39 in the 3000m, and Axelina Johansson threw 19.75m in the shot put at the World Indoor Championships. Tied records and the treatment of post-championship results are explained below.
How to read these records.
All-time vs. NCAA meet
These are all-time Division I collegiate indoor performances, which can occur outside NCAA championship meets. They are not the NCAA championship-only meet-record lists.
Altitude & tied records
An (A) denotes a high-altitude mark in sources that annotate altitude. Where equal bests exist, each holder is listed. Some results have different treatment across authorities.
Record-list differences
NCAA timing includes Terrence Jones in the tied men’s 60m listing, while Track & Field News flags his start. T&FN also includes Johansson’s 19.75m at World Indoors; seasonal NCAA listings may retain her earlier 19.72m.
Metric, points & sources
Field distances are shown in meters first, with approximate feet-and-inches displays floored to the nearest quarter inch by CoachXPro convention. Multi-events use points; records remain sourced independently.
Records & verification.
Reviewed October 17, 2026. Primary record-mark comparisons use Track & Field News collegiate indoor lists, whose latest displayed record-list dates are May 2026. 2026 changes were cross-checked against NCAA timing, World Athletics, meet results, and university reports. Meet names that could not be confirmed are shown as an em dash; a row-level source and caveat ledger accompanies this page. CoachXPro is independent of the NCAA.
Methodology: all-time indoor collegiate records, not championship meet records. Women’s and men’s records may have tied holders, altitude annotations, source differences and meet-period distinctions. The men’s 60m Texas Tech mark is source-qualified, and the women’s shot-put 19.75m world-meet mark is listed by Track & Field News but may differ from NCAA in-season listings. Search uses standard keyboard “x” as well as “×” for relays. Never treat this independent page as an official NCAA certification.
